Who Caldsted is for, in brief.

Caldsted is independent living for adults of limited means. Residents must be ambulatory and self-sufficient; we are not an assisted-living facility.

Minimum age: 65 years
Asset limit: Under $400,000 (individual or couple)
Annual income: Below $50,000 individual · $60,000 couple
One-time entrance fee: $5,000 per person
Monthly service fee: 35% of gross Social Security income · $430 minimum
Included in fee: Twenty meals weekly, housekeeping, utilities, maintenance, transportation, laundry
